As Lane county's oldest independent community bank, Siuslaw Bank continues to specialize in face-to-face customer service, all the while expanding to develop products and programs that best suit the growing financial needs of customers. In 2008, we were given an award for Community Caring by the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce.
Siuslaw Bank, known by many for the dedication of its long-time employees, relies heavily on maintaining relationships with patrons that go above and beyond the traditional banker/customer relationship. "Most of our emplyees have been here 15 years or longer," says Lonnie Iholts, President of Siuslaw Bank. "We know our customers not only by name, but we also know the names of their children, their hobbies and interests."
Old-fashioned in many ways - as opposed to adhering to the influx of voice mail and standardized greeting recordings - you will always reach a real person when you call Siuslaw Bank during normal business hours. "We pay the best interest in town," says Vice President and Florence Branch Manager Dee Osborne. "Personal Interest. We believe in communicating and maintaining relationships with our greatest asset: our customers."
Siuslaw Bank mixes our old-fashioned mantra with modern banking products including e-statements, online bill pay and remote capture. Stop by today and realize why, at Siuslaw Bank, it's all about the relationship.

SERVING WESTERN LANE COUNTY
The Siuslaw News marketing area includes all of western Lane County, from the Pacific Ocean to Deadwood and Greenleaf along Highway 36. Our coverage extends from Yachats on the north to Gardiner on the south. Our readership includes many people outside our circulation area who are interested in coastal Lane County, some considering this for their future home.
The major industries here are tourism, healthcare, timber and fishing. A welcome complement to the economy is a large retirement community. The Siuslaw News has long been the prime advertising medium reaching this western Lane County audience. The Siuslaw News, its predecessor The Siuslaw Oar, and its predecessor The West, have served this area since the early 1890's. Today, The Siuslaw News has a circulation of more than 6,000 with a readership in excess of 15,000 people.
