Parade started at 1:00 pm at the Port of Siuslaw parking lot making a loop through Old Town and ending at approximately 1:30 at the Port parking lot. Also on display at the Port was various vintage military vehicles and memorabilia.
All veterans were encouraged to participate.
The Vets’ Parade Committee was selling flags throughout Florence and Mapleton to raise awareness and money for the parade. The flags feature the official emblems of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard, and sold at just $2 each.
