The Hanson Family Singers, a dynamic and talented group from Veneta, Oregon will roll into the FEC on Saturday, August 3 with a western music show and old fashioned barn dance. The group is comprised of Wayne and Leslie Hanson and the three youngest of their seven children--Lisa, Theresa and Daniel.
Tickets for this family-friendly show are $12 for adults, $8 for youth 16 and under, and a special family package (immediate family only) of $40.
The beautiful harmonies and vocal arrangements of the Hanson Family have gained them much recognition in the music world as well as the honor of winning, among other awards, the 2013 Kamloops Cowboy Festival, "Rising Star Award,” the 2006 WMA, Marilyn Tuttle, “Best of the Best” harmony award and the 2005 WMA “Youth Yodeler of the Year.”
With a variety of Western favorites and great instrumentation entwined with yodeling mastery, a fun and lively performance of the Hanson family delights every audience by bringing to life the refreshing and timeless music of the Western cowboy.
In addition to their singing talents on display, they will be teaching the audience some easy and fun dances like the Virginia Reel, Cane dance, the Scottish Polka, the Schottische, the Butterfly and others. Everyone is encouraged to join in the fun. It will be a great evening’s entertainment for all ages.
